Dawid Parus Photography

Dawid comes from Poland where he graduated from Annual Photojournalism Workshop at Academy of Photography in Warsaw. He subsequently worked as a photojournalist for a national daily Polska The Times and photographic agencies.

Dawid cooperated with Warsaw UNICEF, an agency Warsaw City Doping, and Documentary Association organization. With the latter, he had his first exhibition Virtual Champions, as a part of the collective project 20-30. His photos have been published, e.g. in a music monthly Pulp, exhibited in Koneser Gallery or Fabryka Trzciny in Warsaw.

Dawid has been awarded in various photography contests: Anti-Fashion by Antyradio and Academy of Photography, Photo Fights, Elastic Work Through The Lens, or Sounds of Music by Creative. He is an author of various photo sessions, for example, of the music band Orange The Juice, street and fashion photo shoot for Madame magazine, etc.

Dawid travels between Warsaw and New York where he is doing new projects. He is especially interested in portraying people, who are accordingly the most interesting and frequent subject of his frames. Therefore, he captures individuals in their natural beauty and environment but also in staged and posed expressions.
